Santa Fe Holding Company Announces Today Total Revenue Increase of 38.5% Over the Same Period Last Year

BRENTWOOD, TN--(Marketwire - September 24, 2007) - Santa Fe Holding Co. (PINKSHEETS: SFHD) announced today that for the 36 weeks ended 9-09-07 total revenue for its Santa Fe Cattle Co. restaurant chain had increased 38.5% over the same period last year. Store level profit had also risen 26.5% for the same time frame. Santa Fe Cattle Co. owns and operates 17 "Roadhouse" themed restaurants in seven states. Santa Fe Cattle Co. will open their 18th location on Tuesday, September 25th in Rome, GA. The company has 3 other locations currently under construction and will also open those by year-end.

"The increase in revenue and store level profit is an indication of the strength and commitment of our operations team," stated Danny York, Chairman. "We have been preparing for the last 3 years to roll this concept out and it is being greeted with tremendous enthusiasm," York added. Santa Fe Cattle Co. currently has 10 new sites under contract for 2008 with the first location scheduled to open in February 2008 in Troy, AL. "The smaller designed prototype (6,000 sq ft) is ideal for secondary markets that are typically overlooked by the bigger players. However, these stores are producing the same revenue as the bigger stores in larger markets and the entry cost into these smaller markets is significantly less," York said. Santa Fe Cattle Co. is on schedule to have over 40 units in operation by the end of 2009.

According to Mr. York, anticipated total revenue increase for 2007 should exceed 54%.

"We are right on target with our growth plans we established for 2007 and we will see our 20th store opened by years end," stated Mr. York. "Our rollout strategy is also well under way and we expect to see same pace of growth through 2008."
