Santa Fe Holding Company, Inc. Announced Today That It Will Open the Company's 20th Restaurant in Gadsden, AL on December 11, 2007

BRENTWOOD, TN--(Marketwire - November 20, 2007) - Santa Fe Holding Co., Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SFHD), the parent company of Santa Fe Cattle Co., announced today that it has set the opening date of its newest restaurant. This will be the company's 20th location and will open on Tuesday, Dec. 11th in Gadsden, AL. This marks the eighth location opened in 2007. Santa Fe Holding Co. is a restaurant holding company which currently owns and operates 19 Santa Fe Cattle Co. restaurants located throughout 7 states.

This marks the 6th location for the chain of steakhouses in the state of Alabama. Founder and Chairman Danny York announced, "The state of Alabama has been and continues to be one of our strongest markets." He continued by announcing, "The company has 2 more stores currently under construction in Troy and Tuscaloosa, AL as we speak and these locations will open in early 2008. Santa Fe Cattle Co. also has other sites currently under contract that will open in Alabama in late 2008. The company is one of the fastest growing casual dining chains opening a total of 8 new locations this year alone. It currently has 5 stores under construction and is on course to open at least 10 new locations in 2008." York went on to add, "2007 was a pivotal year for our small company, we will end the year by almost doubling our number of units and increasing our total revenue by over 58%." He added, "2008 will be the year that puts us on everyone's radar screen." The company has plans to end 2009 with over 40 restaurants and total revenues exceeding $100,000,000. York also stated, "We will continue our strategy of opening new units in smaller secondary markets. After the huge success we have seen in other similar markets in recent openings it really seems to be paying off."

The latest opening in Columbus, MS set a new company record for the most sales on the opening day and the most sales for the first 7 days. Sales for the first seven days in Columbus topped $98,000 and continue to stay extremely strong. "I am excited for our employees and our shareholders," York noted.
