SANTINI, the World's Most Extreme Escape Artist, Faces Fiery Death

Dangerous Never-Before-Attempted Death-defying Escape

Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, News Editor JULY 12, 2007 – TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 15, 2007) - SANTINI, acknowledged by the legendary Ripley's Believe It or Not! as The World's Most Extreme Escape Artist, will present "Destination Valhalla" on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 10:15 p.m. in Owen Sound, Ontario. The escape will take place in Owen Sound Harbour. SANTINI will be chained, manacled, and locked in a wooden box perched atop a wooden raft anchored in the water. Kerosene-soaked brush will be piled up against the sides of the wooden box and SANTINI will have 3 minutes to escape his chains and the box before torches will be thrown on the raft turning it into a blazing funeral pyre. Swedish Metal band SERPENT has recorded an all new original song especially for the debut performance of SANTINI's "Destination Valhalla."

"Destination Valhalla" was inspired by the funeral rites of the ancient Vikings who would cremate the bodies of slain warriors aboard burning rafts pushed out to sea. It will be presented as the highlight of Owen Sound's 150-year anniversary "Homecoming" celebrations.

"This is not a 'stunt' or illusion," notes SANTINI. "All of my escapes are genuine and genuinely dangerous. I do not use "trick" anything - everything is real. I could literally lose my life if I am unable to make this escape."

SANTINI, who is world famous for his original hardcore life- and limb-risking escapes, has been seen by audiences at thousands of venues around the world during a career that's spanned more than 25 years. Most recently and notably in North America, SANTINI was featured at the New Year's Eve celebrations in Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto (2005) where a live audience of 35,000 and a television audience of 15 million people watched his successful escape from "The Cremation Vault."

"When SANTINI told us he planned to be handcuffed, then locked inside a vault that would be blasted with propane torches - turning the vault into a virtual oven - we thought, 'this will be riveting, suspenseful TV', " said Dan Hughes, Producer for CHUM/CTV Television.

In a recent article in Chill Magazine, Rebecca Dumais spotlights and summarizes SANTINI's life and escapes: "One man facing lethal traps and devices set against the shattering soundtrack of metal and hard rock tunes. No magic tricks! No illusions! No second chances!" In addition to his creation of original escapes, SANTINI has lent his expertise to the motion picture industry and has also invented original restraints and devices currently in use by law enforcement agencies worldwide.
