More video device choices means once captive audiences have broken free. While well-known researchers Nielsen and Forrester release viewership findings regularly, their conclusions left more questions than answers for Santy, an agency comprised predominantly of millennials, so they set out to do their own research. They asked 1,000 respondents ages 14 to 65-plus their own insightful questions, and found surprising results, such as 15 percent of today's viewing audience doesn't even own televisions, and a full 27 percent of millennials doesn't either.
