Sanu Resources Intersects 5m of 11.67 G/T Gold at Nyieme Gold Prospect, Burkina Faso

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 22, 2008) - Sanu Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SNU) ("Sanu") is pleased to announce that the results from an initial 2015 m reverse circulation drilling program on the Nyieme gold prospect located in Burkina Faso have been received. The best results are from NYRC 15 which intersected 5m @ 11.67 g/t gold, NYRC 17, 1m @ 16.76 g/t gold, and NYRC 18, 1m @ 4.43 and 1m @ 17.83g/t gold. The results are typical for a high-grade quartz vein system where the best gold values tend to occur in shoots. Our drilling and artisanal surface workings suggest that the shoots at Nyieme are from 100-200m in length. Complete drill results are shown in the table below and please see attached map.

Twenty six holes in thirteen fences approximately 100-150m apart were drilled over 1.2 km strike length of a quartz vein system. Each fence consisted of two holes designed to intersect the vein system below the water table at approximately -40 and -80m vertical distance and to avoid artisanal workings.

Chips and dust from each one meter interval drilled were collected in their entirety and bagged. Samples containing quartz veins were sent for assay and also samples for 10m on either side of any logged quartz veins. Where quartz veins were not logged, the entire hole was sent for assay. A one kilogram split was taken from all sampled intervals for assay and pulverized to -100 mesh. A 50g aliquot from the pulverized material was fire assayed for gold. Approximately 5% duplicate samples and 5% of two reference standards were inserted into the sample stream. The low variance among reference standard assays suggests that assay results are generally reliable and reproducible.

Mineralization at Nyieme consists of a series of en echelon quartz veins which intermittently outcrop over a strike length of approximately 1.8 km. Artisanal workings extending to a depth of 25m have been developed on the outcropping veins. The veins are coincident with a major linear feature visible on regional magnetic maps. Of sixty seven (67) grab and rock chip samples taken from artisanal pits on the outcropping portion of the quartz vein system a significant number returned gold assay values ranging from 1 to 107g/t. The strongest assay values were associated with quartz veins ranging from 1-5m wide. Float mapping, soil sampling, and the results of a gradient array IP-Resistivity survey suggest that the vein system extends to the south for at least an additional 4km. This part of the vein system has not been drill tested yet.
