SARES-REGIS Group Renews Leases With Quiksilver Inc. for Corporate Campus in Huntington Beach, Calif.

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - January 19, 2011) - Quiksilver Inc. has renewed leases for its Huntington Beach, Calif., corporate headquarters at the West County Commerce Center, which was developed and is managed by SARES-REGIS Group. The agreements provide Quiksilver with approximately 400,000 square feet of office and warehouse space through 2024.

"We actively looked at several other Orange County sites for our company. Our long relationship with SARES-REGIS Group was a key factor in our decision to remain in the West County Commerce Center. SRG understands our business and what we need from our facilities. They have been an excellent landlord and property manager," said Bob McKnight, the company's chairman and chief executive officer.

Quiksilver evolved from a small company designing and producing boardshorts for surfers in the 1970s to an apparel, footwear and accessory giant, whose products are sold worldwide. Quiksilver will create a new corporate campus for its three main divisions: Quiksilver, Roxy and DC.

SRG acquired the 28-acre site in 1997, redeveloping the property with new and rehabilitated buildings. West County Commerce Center totals 1,040,000 square feet of space.

The space leased by Quiksilver is at: 5600 Argosy Ave., Suite 100 (223,406 square feet); 5600 Argosy Ave., Suite 200 (101,618 square feet); and 15202 Graham St. (81,120 square feet).

"Quiksilver is one of our longest term tenants, first moving to the West County Commerce Center in 1997. We have a substantial relationship with Quiksilver and worked diligently to keep them in place. There's hardly a business that hasn't been affected by the latest recession. Quiksilver was no exception. My hat is off to Bob McKnight and his management team for creating a new strategic blueprint for their future. It's a good situation for everyone, including the City of Huntington Beach, which was very, very good to work with throughout this process," said John Hagestad, SRG managing director.

Joe Carchio, mayor of Huntington Beach, said, "We are thrilled that Quiksilver has decided to continue to make Surf City USA their home. Quiksilver represents the iconic surf lifestyle and culture. They belong in Huntington Beach. I am pleased that the city could help make this long-term lease a reality."

Rob Socci and Joe Miller of Voit Real Estate Services represented Quiksilver. SRG was self-represented by Vince Ciavarella, president of the company's Commercial Property Services Division, and Michael Wood, director of leasing.
