Sargent Bickham Lagudis & Colorado Financial Management Announce Merger

New Combined Entity Will be Called Colorado Financial Management -- With Presence in Boulder, Denver, and Loveland; In Addition to Colorado, the Firm Also Serves Clients in 25 Other States Across the United States

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwired - January 20, 2016) - Sargent Bickham Lagudis, LLC,, an independent registered investment advisory firm headquartered in Boulder, Colorado managing approximately one billion in assets, today announced that it has merged with Colorado Financial Management ("CFM"). The addition of CFM, with approximately $250 million in assets under management, expands the investment advisor's presence in northern Colorado. The firm will assume the Colorado Financial Management name and brand; and its principals, Josh Miller and David Eads, will join the newly formed firm as partners.

The merger is a result of the desire by the two registered investment advisory firms to find the right partner with which to grow their Colorado footprint, while also maintaining the high standards of service provided to clients in 25 additional states. Both firms were founded over 25 years ago by former CPAs, and both serve their clients as true fiduciaries -- meaning they are bound by law to act in their clients' best interests at all times. Both are regulated by the SEC. The combined entity has 27 employees, including seven partners who will work in three locations throughout the state.

"Our firms share a common commitment to client service and a desire to expand our presence throughout Colorado and beyond," said Rick Lawrence, President & CEO of the newly formed entity. "We will achieve this by executing on a thoughtful strategic growth plan that adds exceptional financial talent to our already strong roster. All partners want to see this firm positioned well for future growth, evolution, and expansion -- this merger is an important step in that direction."

Miller and Eads add: "This firm was founded on the principles of discipline, duty, and hard work and our newest partners share that ethos. We are excited about what this merger means for our clients throughout the state and beyond, and to work with our new partners to take Colorado Financial Management to new heights."

Brad Bickham, Managing Partner of the new CFM, adds: "I joined Mike Sargent in the formation of this company over 25 years ago. This is an important step in ensuring our company will be here for our clients, employees, and communities for the next 25 years and more."

The merger was advised by Advice Dynamics Partners, and its CEO David Selig.
