Saskatchewan Auto Dealers Association Announces Entertainment Details for First Auto Show in Regina

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(CCNMatthews - March 23, 2006) -

Legendary hot-rod builder and designer Boyd Coddington will headline the car event, along with exotic vehicles and great family entertainment

The Saskatchewan Auto Dealers Association (SADA) is pleased to offer more details on the first auto show to be held in Regina on April 21, 22, 23, 2006. From the popular Discovery Channel's show, American Hot Rod, Boyd and Jo Coddington will be on hand to host stage activities, and Boyd will be signing autographs and making appearances throughout the event.

The show expects to attract over 15,000 attendees from across the province where consumers can see, touch and play with new vehicles in over 90,000 square feet of exhibit space. Over 75 new cars will be on display, including for the first time in the province, the Lotus Elise and Lamborghini Gallardo. For car enthusiasts, these limited, high end cars represent the highest quality in car performance and style.

Held at the Credit Union EventPlex, the event will tout first class entertainment that includes a premier Kids Zone with video game rooms featuring the latest in race car gaming, a bungee run, the Fastraxx R-C Club & Race Track, and a McDonald's Play Area complete with various games and activities.

The show's first night is dedicated to "Family Night" where families are encouraged to come and enjoy all the family activities and a photo opportunity with Boyd Coddington.

"Our members are pleased to offer a full plate of great family entertainment to this event. From the beginning, we wanted to give Saskatchewanians a car show they can be proud of, without having to travel out of province to see the latest cars under one roof," said Susan Buckle, Executive Director, SADA. "We are excited to bring entertainers like Boyd Coddington. To also have high end exotic cars, brand new never seen before 2006 and 2007 vehicles, vintage cars, all made possible in part by our corporate sponsors, we are on track to make this first time event a memorable one, comparable to other auto shows held outside our province."

"I look forward to being involved with this first time event. I hope we can give the people of Saskatchewan a similar taste of what makes building hot rods so special to me and have lots of fun along the way," said Boyd Coddington, host of American Hot Rod. "The show "American Hot Rod", tries to give people an idea of what it takes to build classic hot rods from start to finish, and along the way, show the crew at Boyd Coddington's Garage and the interaction, drama, and excitement on a day to day basis."

SADA will donate 30% of the show's net revenue to the Camp Easter Seal, a division of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council.
