Saskatchewan Conferences, Charities & Corporate Partners to Benefit from Giving Program

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Nov. 21, 2012) - Saskatchewan's conference delegates will be getting more charitable this week with the launch of a new initiative that helps them collectively give back to a local charity of their choice. The initiative - called Delegive (TM) - connects corporate partners with delegates and charities to enhance the impact of conferences on attendees, businesses, and host communities. The first event will be held at the Saskatchewan Heavy Construction Association convention coming up later this week in support of the Children's Wish Foundation.

Rather than "tagging on" a giving opportunity to events, Delegive (TM) offers businesses the chance to sponsor charitable giving opportunities and inspire delegates to make giving back an integral part of the conference experience. The Convention defines a cause or charity that is important to them, DeleGIVE (TM) secures a corporate partner who receives high-level profile and publicity, and a cause or charity receives much needed support.

"Our goal is to make charitable giving as common at any conference as a coffee break. You would never design a conference without a coffee break, nor would you bring delegates together without creating a DeleGIVE (TM) project," says Jennie Avram, creator of Delegive (TM). Avram believes the three-way approach can dramatically elevate the conference experience for delegates and benefit host communities.

"Branding the giving opportunity has already dramatically changed the tone of our convention. It's elevated the purpose for delegates, expanded sponsorship opportunities for corporate partners, and allowed us to support an important cause. It's a win-win for everyone," says Shantel Lipp, President of the SHCA.

BOMAG Canada and Inland Aggregates felt inspired to co-sponsor the DeleGIVEÔ project at the SHCA. Dan Church of BOMAG Canada says, "I bought into this concept the minute Jennie defined it for me. It is a great fit for our Company." Devin Rushton from Inland Aggregates agreed stating, "DeleGIVE (TM) provides us with excellent profile and we feel great about being part of a legacy project for the event."

All representatives will be available for interviews between 6:00 pm and 8:15 pm on Thursday, November 22, 2012, however, interviews outside of this time frame are welcomed and easily arranged. The Delegive (TM) project will take place at:
