Saskatchewan is Home to Canada's Best Place to Work- SaskCentral

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - April 19, 2012) - SaskCentral is proud to have been named "Canada's Best Workplace" for 2012 by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The list of Canada's top 100 workplaces was announced in today's Globe and Mail national newspaper. SaskCentral was also recognized in two of five other categories in which companies are ranked - credibility and respect.

"At SaskCentral we know life doesn't always happen around your work schedule," says Ken Anderson, SaskCentral CEO. "By adopting policies and creating a culture that allows employees to balance work and life, we give our employees flexibility and support. In turn they give us their commitment, passion and positive results"

Anderson credits SaskCentral employees for this recognition and their contribution to a constructive culture.

"SaskCentral is a strong, successful organization because we have wonderful employees," says Anderson. "We are so proud that our employees find SaskCentral a great place to work."

The competition for the 100 "Best Workplaces in Canada" is based on two criteria. Two-thirds of the total score comes from an employee survey, along with open-ended comments about the organization. The remainder comes from an in-depth review of the organization's culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. This list of "Best Workplaces in Canada" is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada.
