Saskatchewan's First K-12 Online School Receives Provincial Funding: Welcomes New Students

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - July 11, 2012) - Progressive Discover-e School, an accredited, online school that offers students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 an internet-based education has qualified for provincial funding.

Progressive Discover-e has been in existence for years and has helped many students but with this new funding they will be able to reach more students. "I was ecstatic to receive this funding as it will allow us to provide so many more Saskatchewan students with the opportunity to learn anytime, anywhere and at their own pace. I've always felt that the money should follow the student." said founder Ann Cook who has a Master of Education degree in Communications and Technology.

The online classroom and courses are available twenty-four hours a day. Lessons are aligned with provincial curricula and administered by certified teachers.

The school's program is ideal for children who are home schooled, live in remote areas, or who would benefit from an alternative learning environment.

As funding is limited, early student registration is recommended.

Progressive Discover-e is accepting new students as of July, 2012. Please visit our website and/or contact Ann Cook at for more information.
