SaskCentral Board Elects New President, Welcomes New Members

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - April 15, 2008) - The board of directors of SaskCentral has elected Don Blocka of Conexus Credit Union as the new board president. Blocka is an agricultural producer from the Prince Albert area. He has served on the SaskCentral board since 2002.

SaskCentral is owned and controlled by Saskatchewan's 66 credit unions, and its 12-member board of directors represents those credit unions. At the April board meeting following the SaskCentral annual meeting in Saskatoon, two new members were welcomed to the board.

The two new members are:

- Pieter McNair of Kelvington, CEO of the Kelvington Credit Union.

- Ken Sherwin of Yorkton, a board member of Cornerstone Credit Union.

SaskCentral is a democratic financial co-operative which supplies research, development, support, consulting services and financial liquidity management and acts as a trade association to the province's credit unions. As of December 31, 2007 there were more than 524,000 credit union members in Saskatchewan.
