SaskCentral Donates Bicycles to Children

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - May 23, 2013) - SaskCentral is proud to donate 10 bicycles to children following a corporate event where employees rode the bikes as part of a teambuilding exercise.

"As a co-operative, it's part of our DNA to re-invest our financial success in our communities," says Keith Nixon, SaskCentral CEO. "This was a unique way for us to make a contribution."

SaskCentral contacted the Rainbow Youth Centre to distribute the bikes, along with 10 helmets, to deserving families in the community.

"Not only did these bikes play a role in building our team here at SaskCentral," says Nixon. "Now they'll play an important role in the lives of 10 deserving families."

SaskCentral is no stranger to corporate giving and has a robust corporate sponsorship program in addition to an employee volunteer policy that allows employees three days to contribute to the community.
