Saturday, October 29-Sunday, October 30, 2011: Macedonian Film Festival Celebrates Sixth Year

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 21, 2011) - This year the Macedonian Film Festival will be held on October 29 and 30, 2011 at two locations, the Innis Town Hall Theatre and the Carlton Theatre.

We are once again planning an exciting line-up of films spotlighting the many talents of Macedonian filmmakers.

One of the films to be screened this year is the North American premiere of Some Other Stories. The film is comprised of five dramatic reflections on motherhood among young women today in the countries formally known as Yugoslavia. Some Other Stories along with a list of others, including animation, short films and documentaries will be featured on our website www.macedonianfilmfestival.com and will be announced through our Facebook group from now until the film festival in October.

If you love foreign films, this is the place to be! All films are subtitled.

MFF at Culture Days in Stouffville

For the second year, the Macedonian Film Festival was invited to present a film during Stouffville's Culture Days. On Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.

Sandra Ristovska's documentary, Kaleidoscope will be shown at the Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment at 19 Civic Ave. The Macedonian Folk Dance group Ilinden from St. Elia's Macedonian Orthodox Church, Mississauga, will also perform at the Culture Days event.
