(TSX VENTURE:SMI) ("Saturn" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Marlene Lumberjack, LLB to the Advisory Board of the Company. A member of the Kinistin Saulteaux First Nation, located in east central Saskatchewan, Mrs. Lumberjack has served her community as CEO from 2005 – 2008 and most recently as Lands Manager.

Mrs. Lumberjack has nearly 30 years of experience in attending to her community and First Nations issues. She has worked for the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations ("FSIN") in various capacities, including the General Counsel's Office, Treaty Governance, the Senate, and the Health and Social Development Commission. In 2002, she participated in the Indigenous Permanent Forum at the United Nations in New York with an Indigenous Women's Working group that successfully lobbied to push the agenda of Women and Youth.

Mrs. Lumberjack is the recipient of the Victor and Letha Colleaux Bursary for her achievement in the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan, where she obtained her Law Degree in 2001, and was awarded a First Nation and Inuit Health Career Scholarship in 1994 as a result of her academic excellence in the completion of the Health Administration program at the Palliser Campus and Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies.

As a result of her experience and dedication to First Nations issues, she has had the opportunity to work with key members of First Nations communities, developed positive working relationships with many First Nations Leaders and Elders as well as senior officials in federal and provincial governments.

Mrs. Lumberjack played an integral role in the proposal and subsequent formation of the Treaty Four Resource Council and its mandate to create an innovative approach for the mining and exploration industry in Saskatchewan to work collaboratively with First Nations. In this regard, Mrs. Lumberjack will work closely with the management of Saturn to continue to develop and advance the various initiatives undertaken by the First Nations and Saturn (see news release dated February 7, 2011), providing expertise and assistance in meaningful dialogue between the Company and First Nations citizens of Saskatchewan.

In conjunction with her appointment, the Company has opened an office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which will be managed and staffed by Mrs. Lumberjack.

"We are very pleased to welcome Marlene to the Company," stated Stan Szary, President of Saturn Minerals. "Her expertise and experience in Saskatchewan are crucial assets in fully developing and implementing the initiatives we have entered into with First Nations. Her unique and enlightened approach for a collaborative framework for First Nations and industry will help in laying the foundation for the long-term vision of our initiative, from acquisition and exploration through to development and ownership."

"I am very honored to be a part of Saturn's team. Our shared vision of looking forward and developing an innovative approach in doing business with First Nations in a proper way is going to provide both challenges and benefits that I am very much looking forward to being a part of," stated Mrs. Lumberjack.
