Saturn Minerals Completes 1,351 line-km Airborne Gravity Survey, 3,248 Hectares Added to Coal Holdings, Drill Permits Applied for Saskatoba Coal Project, Hudson Bay Saskatchewan

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 27, 2011) - Saturn Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SMI) ("Saturn" or the "Company") has received a preliminary data set from Fugro Airborne Surveys of Ottawa, Ontario, for a 1,351 line kilometre airborne gravity survey (the "Gravity Survey") conducted over the Company's Armit, Muskeg, Overflowing and Turnberry blocks of the Saskatoba Coal Project, east-central Saskatchewan and west-central Manitoba.

The preliminary results of the Gravity Survey were combined with data from Saturn's 3,208 line kilometre airborne GEOTEM survey and 60 line kilometre ground gravity survey conducted in 2009. Saturn's total geophysical surveys to date (ground gravity, airborne GeoTEM, airborne gravity) total 4,619 line kilometres and have been instrumental in identifying drill targets, including Saturn's 2009 coal discovery (See Saturn News Release, dated December 21, 2009).

The combined data sets have served in refining and expanding Saturn's proprietary model of the coal-bearing basins in relation to a system of paleovalleys and paleokarst-related depressions on the properties. Several preliminary drill targets have been identified on all gravity-surveyed blocks of the Saskatoba Project, and the Company has filed an application for 19 diamond drill holes on the Overflowing block in western Manitoba. The Overflowing block adjoins the eastern border of Westcore Energy Ltd.'s (WTR: TSX.V) Black Diamond property where the exceptionally long combined intersection of 85 metres of two coal seams were encountered in hole AM-11-01 at shallow depth (See Westcore News Release, dated January 21, 2011).

Saturn has recently added to existing land holdings in Manitoba immediately north and south-west of Westcore's Black Diamond property totalling an additional 3,248 hectares, which cover additional coal prospective areas as interpreted by the Company's recently refined geological model.
