Saturn Minerals Completes Drilling Program on Wheelbarrow Property

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwire - October 22, 2007) - Saturn Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: SMI) ("Saturn") has completed its 2007 exploration programs in the Atlin area of northwestern British Columbia. The 2007 exploration work was focused on the Wheelbarrow property, and consisted of extensive sampling and assaying followed by deep excavator trenching and diamond drilling. The initial phase of drilling consisted of 9 drill holes totalling 1,995 feet on the Big Canyon area of the Wheelbarrow property, undertaken by Kluane Drilling Limited of Whitehorse, Yukon.

The Big Canyon area consists of two mineralized structures in the northwestern part of the property where extensive surface work was completed prior to drilling of the southern silverlead-zinc structure (see news release dated September 5, 2007). Assays from the drilling program are pending and will be released by Saturn upon receipt.

Saturn also wishes to announce that surface samples (including trench samples) taken from the Big Canyon area of the Wheelbarrow property yielded elevated ICP values of uranium up to 275 ppm. Several grab samples taken from the Brenda Structure, on the eastern part of the property, returned highly elevated values of uranium, some in excess of 500 ppm uranium, as determined by ICP analysis. The nature of the uranium mineralization is not understood at this time, and follow-up analysis and exploration is planned in 2008 to determine the extent and character of this mineralization.

In addition to the program completed on the Wheelbarrow property, Saturn field personnel also completed exploration work on several other properties in the Atlin area, which consisted of prospecting, rock sampling and mapping. The results of these programs will be announced by Saturn upon receipt of assay results.
