Sauer Energy(TM) Unveiling at Exclusive USC Environmental Event

NEWBURY PARK, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2011) - Sauer Energy, Inc.™ ("SEI") (OTCBB: SENY), a developer of home and enterprise scale vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) systems, is pleased to announce that on Saturday, September 24, 2011, it was invited to showcase a demonstration representing the wind power sector at a private educational event hosted by the University of Southern California (USC), Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies, in conjunction with and funded by Edison International, which focused on wind energy and its impact on the environment.

The Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies (WIES) is USC's hub for environmental research, education and outreach.

Edison International is a 12 billion dollar public utility holding company based in Rosemead, California. At least 34% of the fuel Edison uses to generate power comes from clean energy (half of that nuclear power, the other half renewable energy sources ranging from biomass to wind).

The event was hosted at USC's campus in Los Angeles. The participants and educators centered on the importance of educating the masses with regard to the specific role wind energy can play in the arena of renewables. They explored combining technologies and environmental issues as well.

Sauer Energy was extremely pleased to have been chosen to represent the wind power sector with the approval of Edison International.

At this exclusive event, Sauer Energy unveiled its first mobile emergency backup prototype to be used in the areas of disaster relief, communications, military, backup power, oil rigs, off the grid power and countless other applications to a select gathering of students and educators. There was a hands-on demonstration with a question and answer exploratory session. The Sauer Energy™ staff was in attendance as well.

"We are pleased to have been selected and to have assisted the professors, staff and students of USC to raise awareness of the substantial benefits of wind energy and the need for individuals to seek to become independent. The need for renewable energy is growing every day. We are looking to impact the future of wind energy and use it as a major source," stated Dieter Sauer, President and CEO of Sauer Energy™.

Future plans may include a Sauer Energy™ and USC collaboration to attach a WindCharger™ at an agreed upon site that will enable 24/7 monitoring data. Not only practical in terms of savings, but this would serve as a constant reminder that climate change is very real and the potential to make positive advances is within reach. Our existing wind turbines and our latest addition to the line were received with great interest from the faculty and students.

"Being invited to such an exclusive event validated everything we have been working on for the past 5 years. We are extremely excited about our future and look forward to furthering our relationship with USC," concluded Dieter Sauer.
