Savant Explorations Ltd. Announces Completion of HeliGEOTEM Survey on the Polymetallic Yava Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 11, 2007) - Savant Explorations Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SVT) ("Savant") is pleased to announce the Fugro HeliGEOTEM® electromagnetic and magnetic survey over the Yava Property ("the Property") located in Nunavut, Canada has been successfully completed. Mobilization of the geological and geophysical team for geological ground-truthing and mapping of the identified conductors, which will facilitate a prioritization of drilling targets for massive polymetallic sulphide bodies, is underway. The ground follow-up program will be completed before the end of September with results available by mid-October.

The Yava Property consists of 5,750 hectares of leases and claims covering approximately 25 kilometres of strike of the prospective Archean Hackett-Back River greenstone belt. The claims and leases stretch from 10 km south of Sabina Silver Corp.'s Hackett River Deposit (indicated mineral resource at 5 opt silver equivalent of 47 million tonnes grading 4.37 opt silver, 4.67% zinc, 0.32% copper, 0.68% lead and 0.009 opt gold; (Sabina News Release November 14, 2006) to 5 kilometres south of the Yava Main Zone massive sulphide occurrence. Savant holds a 100% interest in the Yava property except for the lease portion, which is subject to a 10% NPI royalty that can be purchased at any time for $1.5 million.

The last significant exploration on the Yava Property was by the Brascan Resources Ltd.-Conwest Joint Venture in 1976. The Yava Property holdings cover one of the least-explored massive sulphide greenstone belts in Canada. Past work on the Property consisted of a 1975 Kenting Canso airborne EM survey that identified 30 shallow conductors on the Savant holdings. Only one of these conductors was drilled and most of the other conductors received only cursory ground follow up consisting of prospecting and ground EM. There are several conductors that were not followed up. All of the Brascan-Conwest drilling was done on the Yava Main Zone. Ten short holes drilled along 500 metres of strike length tested the mineralization to an 80 metre depth. Brascan estimated that the Yava Main Zone contained 1.3 million tons grading 3.42 opt silver, 4.96% zinc, 1.03% copper, 1.6% lead and 0.008 opt gold. The mineralization remains open on strike and at depth. This estimate predates NI 43-101 and constitutes a historical estimate under that policy. The assumptions and parameters used in the Brascan resource estimation have not been identified by Savant and Savant is not treating this historical estimate as current Mineral Resources under NI 43-101. Historical estimates should not be relied upon.

The recently-completed airborne survey explored the entire property in order to relocate and verify the previously identified conductors as well as search for more deeply buried conductive bodies lying beneath the search depth of the earlier Kenting survey. The conductors verified by the ground follow-up team will constitute massive sulphide drill targets for a later drilling program.
