Save Our Soles - A Socks for the Needy Program by Bay Area Foot & Laser Podiatry Group

BERKELEY, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 8, 2011) - The Bay Area Foot & Laser Podiatry Group is pleased to announce their second launch of "Save Our Soles - A Socks for the Needy Drive" beginning November 7, 2011 in their five Bay Area offices, and will continue throughout the Holiday season.

"There are many needy individuals with hardships that have been forced to wear the same pair of socks for days or weeks at a time," says Dr. Mark Wolpa, founder of the Bay Area Foot & Laser Podiatry Group. "For those with diabetes, impaired circulation, or neuropathy, this can lead to serious foot infections which may result in the loss of a limb or even loss of life," Wolpa explains.

"Most of us view putting on clean socks as a daily habit, but for many people, putting on a clean and dry pair of socks is a luxury," Wolpa states.

Last year The Bay Area Foot & Laser Podiatry Group collected over 300 pairs of socks and this year they hope to surpass that number. The socks are distributed to shelters throughout the Bay Area just in time for the cold and wet weather.

New socks of all sizes (including children's) can be dropped off or mailed to any of our four offices in Berkeley, Walnut Creek, Greenbrae, Pleasanton or Santa Rosa, says Dr Wolpa. For addresses of our offices please visit our website at: NoMoreFungus.com
