SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - July 8, 2010) - Save Our Water, California's largest statewide water conservation public education program, has joined with Bed Bath & Beyond® to help promote water conservation in California. On Saturday, July 10th, Save Our Water will distribute 1,000 five-minute shower timers* for free at 20 California Bed Bath & Beyond® stores -- 20,000 in total -- to help encourage Californians to save water by taking shorter showers (*while supplies last).
"We are delighted to join with Bed Bath & Beyond® to help spread the water conservation message this summer," said Tim Quinn, executive director of the Association of California Water Agencies, which created the Save Our Water program with the California Department of Water Resources. "Using this handy little device daily to keep your showers to five minutes is easy. And little changes like this can add up to big savings for the state."
