SBH South Beach Hotel Invites Guests to Party at Beats After Sunset

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - Apr 7, 2015) - The SBH South Beach Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel, which opened in early 2014 following an extensive renovation to restore its previous Art Deco glory, has been rapidly becoming one of the cultural hubs in the Florida South Beach social scene. With their prime location in the heart of the Collins Park neighborhood, the hotel offers convenient access to the many exciting social events happening nearby. One of these is the monthly "Beats After Sunset" party at the Bass Museum, directly across the street from the SBH. Every First Friday, the museum swings into nightclub mode, attracting a young crowd with a free art and music-filled evening. From 8-11pm, anyone over 21 can dance to guest DJs, enjoy current art exhibitions, and sample free cocktails from sponsoring liquor companies.

"First Fridays is an amazing concept for South Beach; only in Miami Beach can an art museum transform into a top nightlife venue," said Mark Shemel, Chief Revenue Officer and Principal at Think Hotel Group. "Collins Park has changed considerably over the past five years. It is no longer just a rarely frequented park with a few sculptures and landmarks. From outdoor weddings, yoga classes, The Miami Ballet practice, and the Art Walk full of modern sculptures, the park is increasingly becoming a hub for an assortment of activities, all just steps from the hotel."

Along with the First Friday Beats After Sunset, another out of the ordinary public offering run by the Bass Museum is a weekly "Art Club for Adults." Free to anyone with a paid museum admission, the Art Club for Adults features a different fun event every Thursday afternoon -- it may be a drawing class, film presentation, lecture, or hands-on materials workshop, anything to get visitors to dig in deeper to their artistic inclinations. With its emphasis on staying active, offering a great deal, and being a well-rounded family draw, the SBH South Beach Hotel has worked to incorporate all the neighborhood activities into its marketing efforts, keeping guests at the fabulous hotel happy and energized. Besides access to the local formal happenings, the boutique hotel offers great amenities like yoga mats, croquet sets, bicycles, beach chairs, and picnic baskets for anyone who wants to enjoy a vacation at their own pace and independence.

The SBH South Beach Hotel is part of the Think Hotel Group's expanding "hotel campus," which is comprised of four establishments -- the SBH, the Hotel Boulan, the Ansonia House, and the Plymouth Hotel. The ongoing venture seeks to remake the Collins Park neighborhood, by both harkening back to its original 1930s roots, and imbuing it with a modern sensibility and dedication to local culture. The SBH features a total of 51 rooms, each an artful blend of Miami traditions with contemporary style. Think Hotel Group also owns and operates the Orange Blossom restaurant. Situated between the Hotel Boulan and the SBH, the eatery provides hotel room service and has earned a reputation among visitors and locals alike for its dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that instill a tropical South Florida flavor to the traditional American fare.
