Scarlett James Launches Burlesque World Tour


MONTREAL, CANADA--(Marketwired - Feb. 25, 2015) - Following her tremendously successful performances in this year's Valentine's Day celebrations at Le Casino de Montréal, international burlesque star, Scarlett James launches her 2015 world tour with sold-out engagements in Italy, Germany, Japan and United States beginning with appearances at the prestigious Teatro Centrale, in Rome, on the first week of March.

Scarlett will headline shows at the Royal Burlesque Revue & Voodoo Deluxe in Milan and Rome respectively, then travel north to star in the international gala of the Munich Burlesque Festival in Germany at the Schlachthof Theatre in the company of a plethora of world-renowned masters of the burlesque genre. By popular demand, she will return to Italy for additional engagements in Rome, Treviso, and Milan, before journeying to the Far East to star for a second time in the famous Petit Café CapriBlue cabaret series in Nagoya, Japan.

Scarlett will fly to Los Angeles to board the magnificent vessel, RMS Queen Mary, now permanently docked in Long Beach gracing the stage of the famous big top cabaret for 4 shows, Ink N Iron. Her tour will continue with visits to landmark venues in Dallas, Austin, and Nashville in July and August, with more dates to be announced soon. To round off her busiest year yet, Scarlett will headline the Lake Como Burlesque Festival, in Italy and wrap up her travels with a grand return to the Montreal Burlesque Festival of which she is the founder.

Scarlett James has been a worldwide ambassador of burlesque art, from Paris to Shanghai, passing by London, Brazil, Japan and a myriad of countries in between. Her shows are rich in details and sophisticated, both on and off the stage. Born in Canada, she moved to Europe at an early age and grew up by the sea in Brittany, France, dreaming of a life filled with the artistry and glamour that she had discovered watching the stars of Hollywood's Golden Age. She returned to Montreal and became a burlesque pioneer, creating shows, intricate costumes and remarkable props for her flamboyant acts. Today, after breaking barriers as the first Canadian burlesque artists to appear in high-end corporate events for leading brands, Scarlett James travels the four corners of the world, headlining galas in the finest theatres and appearing at major events, product launches, exclusive parties and the trendiest nightclubs.

Scarlett has performed with Gregory Charles and for luxury companies such as Bentley Motors and Moët & Chandon, and collaborated with the Centre d'histoire de Montréal on their exhibit, Scandal. She has been featured on numerous television shows (Bar Ouvert, Juste pour rire, Par ici la sortie, La France a un incroyable talent) and won a Gémeau Award for Best documentary series, Burlesque: l'art et le jeu de la séduction (TV5) in 2013.
