Schawk Appoints Stephen Kaufman as Chief Technology Officer
New Corporate Position Focuses on Strategic Technology Solutions Applied to Global Client Requirements

DES PLAINES, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 14, 2007 -- Schawk, Inc. (NYSE : SGK ), one of the

consumer products packaging industry, announced today the appointment of
Stephen Kaufman to the new corporate position of chief technology officer,
reporting directly to Chuck Dale, the Company's senior vice president of
global operations.
In this new position, Kaufman will focus on the refinement and continual
development of Schawk's overarching vision of strategic technology
solutions applied to the requirements of the Company's global clients.

Kaufman joined Schawk in 1994 where he has held a number of technology
leadership positions, pioneering the development of what was then the
industry's first digital asset management system designed specifically to
meet the stringent requirements of the consumer products packaging sector.
Today, this product is marketed under the name BLUE, and continues to set
new standards of excellence. During these early years, Kaufman founded and
acted as managing director of the Company's digital solutions group. Most
recently serving the Company as vice president of client strategy, Kaufman
has spearheaded many leading technology initiatives for Schawk, including
streaming soft proofing, implementation of XML-oriented web services for
the publication and consumption of workflow data, and construction of
Schawk's enterprise service-oriented architecture.

years, Kaufman remains an active participant in events and activities

Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, and resides in suburban
Chicago with his wife and family.
