DARMSTADT, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2014) - Effective December 23, 2013, Schenck Process has acquired all assets in the Norwegian companies Applied Plasma Physics AS and APP ModuPower AS (APP).

APP is one of the world's leading manufacturers of air pollution control systems and delivers state-of-the-art technology with its core product, the ModuPower High Frequency Switch Mode Power Supply.

"We are very excited that APP has joined the Schenck Process Group, especially since we already had a very close cooperation for years," said Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, the CEO of Schenck Process Group. "Integrating the ModuPower technology within our environmental controls solutions helps to support our customers to meet increasingly strict environmental regulations."

APP continues its business in Norway under the Schenck Process and Stock brand names and will trade as Schenck Process Norge AS. The company is now being integrated into Schenck Process' global network to benefit from its close customer relationships, its extensive technology and industry knowledge, and its global sourcing and production.

"The company and its associated technologies deliver great benefits to our customers within the coal and biomass fired power plant industry," said Robert Ciavarella, the Vice President-Power of Schenck Process Group and CEO of Stock Equipment Company. "We clearly see exciting opportunities emerging in the global power markets for the ModuPower."
