Schenker Bolsters Air Fleet Network to Significantly Increase Capacity and Service Capabilities

2008 Air Fleet Plan to Launch in 4th Quarter 2007

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 18, 2007) - Schenker of Canada today announced that effective October 1, 2007 it will significantly increase its air cargo capabilities and services across Canada. Among the highlights of new Air Fleet Network services to be offered are earlier arrivals and later departures in each city currently being serviced, and the addition of a dedicated aircraft for the Schenker hub in Vancouver, British Columbia. The improvements affect services to and from the US and within Canada. Schenker's enhanced Air Fleet Network services include: increased capacity in Alberta with increased inbound and outbound positions, this enhancement will allow Schenker the flexibility to meet customers' demands in Northern Alberta as required; Saskatchewan transits improve by one day point; Eastern Canada benefits with earlier daily arrivals between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m., this includes same night delivery to Western Canada; and Toronto service enhanced with added overnight access to Western Canada.

"Our enhanced service is a major step forward for our Air Freight business," says Claude Germain, Chief Operating Officer at Schenker of Canada. "It gives our customers preferred access to an overnight fleet and complete coast-to-coast capabilities while providing Vancouver with enhanced, reliable air services."

"Our customers asked for more frequent air freight service and we are happy to provide it for them," adds Dwayne Hihn, Senior Vice President, Air Products, Schenker of Canada. "This expansion of capabilities is our first in delivering a cost-effective and service-friendly air network that can readily support the addition of more points in future. In addition, we will provide these new services concurrently and do it with current rates in place."
