Schneider Electric Announces Keynotes for D.C. Xperience Efficiency Event

Sen. Mark Warner, Rep. Peter Welch and Gov. George Allen Highlight Keynote Addresses at Global Event Series Kicking Off in Washington D.C.

PALATINE, IL--(Marketwired - May 24, 2013) - Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced a world-class group of keynote addresses that will be delivered at its Washington D.C. Xperience Efficiency event. Xperience Efficiency 2013, a global event series that will highlight solutions to today's energy, efficiency and sustainability challenges, begins in Washington D.C. and cities around the world June 4-6. The events will bring together Schneider Electric executives, customers and industry thought leaders to share knowledge on how to solve today's energy and sustainability challenges.

The keynote addresses will share a vision for the future of efficiency in the context of global forces driving change in our society, including economic and government rebalancing; urbanization; digitization; and sustainable resources. Keynotes at the Xperience Efficiency D.C. event include:

  • Senator Mark Warner was elected to the U.S. Senate in November 2008 and serves on the Senate Banking, Budget, Commerce and Intelligence committees.
  • Congressman Peter Welch is the U.S. Representative for Vermont's at-large congressional district, serving since 2007. He is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served in the Vermont Senate where he was the Minority Leader and President pro tempore.
  • Governor George Allen served Virginia as Governor and in the U.S. Senate. He is President of George Allen Strategies and Chairman of the American Energy Freedom Center.
  • Sean O'Keefe, Chairman and CEO of EADS North America, assumed the responsibilities as the North American leader for the global aerospace company in 2009. Prior to joining EADS North America, O'Keefe served as a corporate officer of the General Electric Company and has held presidential appointments on four separate occasions.
  • Jennifer Regan, Sustainability Director for AEG, oversees the development of AEG 1EARTH, the industry-leading environmental program for AEG, the leading sports, entertainment and venue operator in the world. She advises on environmental strategies and assists with integrating sustainable practices into operations to achieve the company's environmental goals.
  • Bob Gohn, Senior Research Director, Navigant Research, leads the smart buildings research program at Navigant Research, with responsibility for research services in building automation, energy efficient lighting, energy management, smart buildings technologies, and green buildings.
