Schneider Power Inc. Announces Senior Management Appointment

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - Schneider Power Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mathieu Archambault to the senior management team as Head of Energy Projects.

Mr. Archambault joins Schneider Power from Montreal-based Helimax Energy Inc., a Canadian leader in the field of independent wind energy consulting, where he lead a team of consultants actively involved in the analysis, engineering, meteorology and environmental science for over 3,000 Megawatts of utility-scale wind energy projects.

With a profound understanding of the North American energy sector, Mr. Archambault has been actively involved in power project development across the country. In his role at Helimax he has been closely involved with the project management, development and contracting for clients such as TransCanada Pipelines, Suncor Energy, Cartier Energie Eolienne, Hydro-Quebec, Innergex, Airtricity, Northland Power Inc., Acciona Energia, Bowark Energy, Manitoba Hydro, Nova Scotia Power, TCI Renewables, AIM PowerGen and Invernergy Canada.

In his role at Schneider Power, Mr. Archambault will become a key member of the company's executive team by assuming control of all aspects of SPI's entire North American upstream renewable energy portfolio. This includes managing all green field project developments, feasibility, wind assessments, interconnection and post-development realization and construction management.

Mr. Archambault holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universite Laval in Quebec City.
