SCI Solutions' Bill Reid Appointed ACHE Interim Regent for Washington State

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Mar 28, 2016) - SCI Solutions, the health industry's leading patient access and care coordination software firm, today announced that Bill Reid, senior vice president of product management and partners, was appointed as an interim Regent of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), an industry organization of more than 48,000 healthcare executives, to represent members in Washington state.

As the Regent for Washington, Reid will work with the state ACHE chapter, higher education institutions and other health care groups to bring programs, services and products to the health care community, including executives, students and faculty members, as well as supplier networks.

Reid has been a member of the professional society since 1993, and is board-certified in health care management as an ACHE Fellow (FACHE). Prior to his appointment as Regent for Washington, he served his local ACHE chapter, Washington State Healthcare Executives Forum (WSHEF), as chapter board member-at-large and co-chair of the membership committee. Among his many achievements with the organization, Reid was recently honored by WSHEF with the ACHE Service Award, which recognized his service, mentorship and commitment to advancing excellence in health care management.

"I have been deeply privileged to serve the ACHE for more than 15 years as we seek to advance the health care industry and improve the delivery of care," said Reid. "As a founding member of WSHEF it's an honor to now be in the position to promote and voice the interests of those in my local chapter, at the national level."

Reid has been a health care industry leader for more than two decades. At SCI Solutions, he oversees partnership development and delivery of the company's product offerings. Prior to joining SCI, Reid held senior positions at Numera, a tele-health care management solution and at Microsoft, where he served as director of its health solutions group. He has also been a Fellow since 2008, and a long-time mentor to the University of Washington's Masters in Health Administration program.

Reid took his place in office on March 12, 2016 at the Council of Regents Meeting prior to ACHE's 59th annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership, which attracts more than 4,000 attendees. For additional information, visit www.ache.org/ldrship/council_of_regents.cfm.
