Scotiabank Place to Host Holiday Skate on Dec. 23

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 22, 2007) - On Sunday, Dec. 23, Scotiabank Place will celebrate the festive season by hosting a Holiday Skate, when Senators fans and skating enthusiasts can lace up their skates and take to the same ice as the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club.

For one day only, there will be seven different 60-minute public skating sessions, beginning at 10 a.m. and with the last skate commencing at 7 p.m. The schedule for the skating sessions is as follows: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.; 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.; 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

During all public skating sessions, children 10 years of age and younger are required to wear a helmet. Skates must be worn on the ice at all times, while hockey sticks and pucks will not be permitted. Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their desired time to maximize skating time. There will be open areas available to change into skates. Scotiabank Place does not provide skating trainers, skate sharpening or concessions for this event. Cameras and video equipment are permitted.

Tickets for the Holiday Skate are $6 per person (price includes all taxes and service charges, when tickets are purchased at Scotiabank Place box office or a ticket outlet. Internet and telephone purchases are subject to the standard ordering charge. Children two years of age and younger get free admission to the event. Tickets for the Holiday Skate go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. Parking is free for all participants.
