Scotiabank Place To Host Spring Skate '09 On April 13

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 26, 2009) - Scotiabank Place will host Spring Skate '09 on Monday, April 13, when hockey fans and skating enthusiasts can lace up their skates and take to the same ice as the Ottawa Senators.

For one day only, there will be seven 60-minute public skating sessions: the first will begin at 10 a.m. and the last at 7 p.m. The schedule for the skating sessions is as follows: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.; 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.; 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

During all public skating sessions, children 10 years of age and younger are required to wear a helmet. Skates must be worn on the ice at all times, while hockey sticks and pucks will not be permitted. Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their desired time to maximize skating time. There will be open areas available to change into skates. Scotiabank Place does not provide skating trainers, skate sharpening or concessions for this event. Cameras and video equipment are permitted.

Tickets for Spring Skate '09 are $5 per person (plus applicable surcharges) and go on sale Thursday, April 2, at 10 a.m. Children two years and under can skate for free, and parking is free for all participants.
