Scott Andrews Joins Capital Pacific Bank Board of Directors

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Sep 25, 2014) -  Scott Andrews, a prominent Portland real estate executive and civic leader, has been elected to the board of directors for Capital Pacific Bank (OTCQB: CPBO), announced Mark Stevenson, president and chief executive officer.

Andrews has more than 36 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and is currently a president at Melvin Mark Companies, a privately-owned commercial real estate companies providing brokerage, development, property management, tenant improvement and mortgage financing services.

Highly-regarded by nonprofit, business and governmental leaders, Andrews has an accomplished resume of service to nonprofit and economic development organizations. For the past six years, he served as chairman of the Portland Development Commission, which oversees the city's economic development activities. During his tenure as board chair, Andrews solidified PDC's focus on economic development and neighborhood revitalization, and, in partnership with the Portland City Council and PDC Board, utilized Portland's Five Year Economic Development Strategy to help guide the city through one of the worst economic recessions in history.

He is a trustee for the University of Oregon Foundation and serves on their advocacy and development committees. Andrews is also chairman emeritus of LifeWorks NW, which provides mental health and addiction services to the Portland region.

An advocate for Portland's growth and economic vitality, he is past-chairman of the Portland Business Alliance, past-chairman of the Portland Regional Business Plan Steering Committee, and past-president of Portland Mall Management, Inc., which oversees the security and maintenance of Portland's downtown retail and business core. He is past-president and chairman of the Oregon Sports Authority, and past-president of the Multnomah Athletic Club, one of the largest private athletic clubs in the United States.

In 2011, he received the Portland Business Alliance's William S. Naito Service Award, which recognizes exceptional leadership and service to the business community. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Andrews holds a master's of business administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
