Scribe Software Data Integration Tool Platform of Choice for Government Agencies

Company's Public Sector Integrations Support More Than 50,000 CRM Seats in Q4 2012, Underscoring Enterprise Grade Strength and Reliability

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - Jan 22, 2013) - Scribe, the leader in CRM data integration, today announced record bookings in the public sector with seven major wins in Q4 2012 across state and federal government agencies, both civilian and non-civilian, in deals that support integrations across more than 50,000 seats. One of those wins was one of the largest corrections agencies in the country. Holding the important safety data on hundreds of thousands of offenders, with nearly 100,000 active offenders, the agency selected Scribe data integration technology and Microsoft Dynamics CRM to modernize its systems and leverage the cloud to improve data sharing efficiencies and reduce costs.

Along with basic demographic and identity information, the agency appends important information like drug test results and job status to their records. With an existing mainframe that ran 60-70 apps to query data like case notes or drug testing results to create a holistic profile, it was simply too expensive to maintain and update -- and the agency relied on Microsoft Partner Tribridge for the upgrade and implementation.

"Government agencies understand that they need to modernize their systems and make data accessible and available in real-time across both in-state and out-of-state agencies," said Jeff Davis, Senior Technical Manager of Public Sector CRM for Tribridge. "With Scribe we were able to turn a multi-year project into a two-week implementation, mending a digital divide that was complex and costly."

This year, government IT spending is forecast to total $445 billion, according to Gartner, Inc. And while fiscal and economic pressures will affect budgets nationwide, government organizations recognize that replacing inefficient, disparate legacy systems for new technology investments are needed to reduce costs, improve operational efficiencies and help reduce future expenditures. To streamline government efficiencies while lowering taxpayer costs, agencies are keenly focused on information security, data center consolidation, business system upgrades, cloud computing and mobility -- with cloud computing accounting for the fastest growing area according to IDC Government Insights. Additionally, public sector CRM is widely recognized as a tool that can provide a much-needed bridge between government and its citizens, while also cutting costs and streamlining services.

"Like most government agencies, we knew we needed to integrate our data and data systems, and eliminate the time and inefficiencies that come with unnecessary paperwork and interdepartmental coordination," said Rita Reynolds, Director of Technology Services and Telecommunications for the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania. "We were so happy to have found Scribe and the whole process has been tremendous. Not only do we have improved access to the data -- and easier access makes way for smarter, faster decisions -- the rapid deployment has far exceeded our expectations. That our new Unified Case Management System based on Dynamics CRM and Scribe will be fully deployed this quarter across 33 counties after just a few months is unprecedented."

"Like large national enterprises, government agencies must have easy access to their data and must implement systems that offer enterprise-grade flexibility and scalability to keep pace with an ever-growing web of information sets," said Lou Guercia, President and CEO of Scribe Software. "Today's economic pressures are driving the need to do more with less, and Scribe takes the pain out of data integration so that these agencies can integrate critical customer data while saving time and IT costs and earning a better return on their technology investments."

Just last month, Scribe announced consistent momentum across the markets it serves and consistent year over year growth, with Q3 2012 bookings up 22 percent over the same quarter last year. Long-term investments in cloud connectors and CRM integrations, increased ISV partner adoption and expanded international market adoption underscore the company's leadership and traction in the CRM and data integration space.
