SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 15, 2012) - Scripted.com, a marketplace for freelance writers and small businesses to connect, today announced the company has added an additional $150,000 in seed financing led by David Wu -- Former Redpoint Ventures Executive-in-Residence. Scripted total seed financing is now $850,000. Additionally, the company added LinkedIn's former Chief Scientist and Greylock Data Scientist-in-Residence DJ Patil and 99designs Co-Founder Matt Mickiewicz to its advisory board.
Scripted.com has access to more than 80,000 freelance writers, and sells content, such as blog posts, to businesses at a flat rate. Scripted adds 50 new freelance writers daily, and the company has 500 paying customers, ranging from startups to public companies.

Scripted.com recently re-launched its site, and is building out algorithms to find the best writers and match businesses to writers. Scripted's main objective over the next year is to automate the vetting and fulfillment process so the company can scale, and meet the high demand for its services.
Scripted's other investors include Crosslink Capital, Shopzilla CIO Jody Mulkey and Liveops Founder Douglas Feirstein.
