SCTE Honors This Technology's Bryan Santangelo With 2013 Excellence in Standards Award

Industry Veteran's Contributions Have Helped Drive Maturation and Success of Advanced Advertising and Dynamic Ad-Insertion Technologies

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Oct 23, 2013) - CABLE-TEC EXPO -- This Technology, Inc., a leading provider of platforms for dynamic ad insertion (DAI) and alternate content delivery, today announced that Bryan Santangelo has been awarded the 2013 Excellence in Standards Award from the SCTE. Santangelo, vice president of software architecture for This Technology, was recognized at the opening general session of SCTE Cable-Tec Expo®. The award honors an SCTE Standards Program participant who has contributed significantly to both the technical standards program and the spirit of cooperation necessary for the success of voluntary standards.

Santangelo supports software architecture and development for all This Technology products, helping to foster industry-wide growth of cross-platform DAI. Previously, Santangelo was a principal architect for Time Warner Cable's Advanced Technology Group, with responsibility for architecture and design of advanced advertising for video platforms, the company's API externalization and access strategy, and the video back office virtualized infrastructure as a service architecture. He is a recipient of a Technology and Engineering Emmy® for his work on work on DAI for VOD, currently chairs a major SCTE/ISO standard and actively participates in several industry bodies, including SCTE, CableLabs® and SMPTE.
