SDI Announces the Imminent Production of its Lektrox Less Than Lethal Ammunition

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 12, 2008) - Security Devices International, Inc. (OTCBB:SDEV) - a defense technology company specializing in the creation of less than lethal ammunition solutions - announced today that it is poised to start full production of its advanced Lektrox Wireless Electric Bullet ammunition.

The Company stated that it is soon to receive the plastic molds that will enable it to begin production and assembly of the 40mm version of its Lektrox Wireless Electric Bullet.

SDI expects to begin the roll out of its fully operational projectiles in Q3 2008.

In anticipation, it was also announced that Elad Engineering Ltd. - who until now provided external, independent R&D services for the company - will from now on be fully dedicated to SDI. Elad brings with it 10 experienced engineers, led by Ilan Shalev and Haim Danon who will also serve as project manager and engineering manager respectively.

The Company has also already started hiring the necessary additional personnel required for production.
