Sealock Becomes First Company in the Americas to Earn New ISO Certification for Supply Chain Security

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - Oct 13, 2014) - Continuing Sealock Security Systems' leadership role in delivering industry-best tamper-evident container solutions, the company has earned certification under the new ISO standard for Supply Chain Security. Recognized for the marketing of security seals for enclosed cargo units, Sealock is the first company in the Americas to attain the prestigious ISO 28001:2007.

"We believe that improving global supply chain integrity is in everyone's best interests," said Vice President Ray Fernandez. "This ISO certification further confirms our commitment to provide shippers with advanced security strategies and container sealing technology that protects the chain of custody against theft and terrorism."

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer of voluntary international standards. It provides requirements, specifications, guidelines and characteristics that can be used to ensure that products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality. The ISO 28001:2007 standard reflects the efforts of organizations to develop and implement supply chain security processes, increase quality assurance and manufacturer control, and mitigate risks while optimizing delivery systems.

For Sealock, the ISO Certification is the latest in a string of impressive credentials that validate a history of going above and beyond to improve global supply chain and container security. Previously, several of Sealock's hybrid seal and lock devices were placed on the Department of Homeland Security's Approved Products List. The company also earned certification as a C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) member from the Department of Homeland Security, along with certification from Cali, Colombia-based Association of Secure Companies (A.E.S. / Asociación de Empresas Seguras), one of only three global certifying bodies and the only one with a presence in the Americas.
