DORAL, FL--(Marketwired - June 30, 2016) - Sealock's innovative container security solutions and supply chain management strategies have netted a coveted Strategic Partner of Choice Award from Macy's. The iconic global retailer announced the honor at a leadership and awards ceremony during their 2016 Supply Chain Asset Protection (SCAP) Summit.
Vice President Ray Fernandez was presented the award by Maurizio Scrofani, Macy's VP of Supply Chain Asset Protection. It recognizes Sealock's system-wide contributions to Macy's supply chain integrity and cargo theft prevention efforts as a preferred vendor/supplier of seals and container security devices.
"It's an honor to receive this recognition knowing how much supply chain management is integral to Macy's business model," said Fernandez. "We look forward to continuing to work with an industry leader like Maurizio Scrofani and his team in creating security technology and strategies that protect the chain of custody for goods from end to end."
As cargo theft becomes a costlier business and international security issue, Sealock has increased its partnerships with retailers, shippers, logistics providers, law enforcement, government, the insurance industry and other members of the global trade community. Their focus is on sharing best practices and utilizing advanced container security technology to tighten supply chain vulnerabilities and reduce break-ins. Last year, Sealock also joined the Supplier Compliance Audit Network (SCAN), an organization established by the retail industry as a first-of-its-kind program to standardize the supplier security audit process for more efficient risk evaluation and management.
"Macy's and other partners have made a serious commitment to shaping a better future for global cargo and supply chain security," Fernandez observed. "Sealock is proud to work side by side with them to take control and turn the tide."
Launched in 1996, Sealock Security Systems, Inc. is a leader in creating industry-best tamper-evident container security technology. Sealock's unique hybrid devices became the first container seals to be declared a valid anti-terrorist technology by the Department of Homeland Security. Today, they continue to set the international standard for container security solutions that protect cargo, inhibit break-ins, and strengthen supply chains.
