MRC and Digital Transactions Announce 'Call for Entries' for New e-Commerce Technology Awards

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - October 7, 2010) -  The Merchant Risk Council (MRC), a merchant-led trade association, is partnering with Digital Transactions to recognize the most innovative e-Commerce payments related technologies and services. Candidates help online and multi-channel merchants fight online payment fraud and advance the MRC's vision of making electronic commerce more efficient, safe and profitable.

The MRC Emerging Technology Awards (METAwards) recognize solution providers that deliver the most innovative and effective payment and fraud tools in electronic commerce as judged by a diverse panel of merchants.

"Each week we learn of a new approach, technology or solution being launched that could improve our industry," said Tom Donlea, MRC Executive Director. "These awards are our initiative to recognize the best available solutions on the market, and provide our merchant members a window into the future."

METAward winners will be announced at the MRC's Annual e-Commerce Payments and Risk Conference in Las Vegas on March 23, 2011, and will be hosted by Donlea and John Stewart, Editor of Digital Transactions.
