SearchGold Announces an Intersection Of 13,04 G/T Gold Over 11,50 M in Diamond Drill Hole BA04-18

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - June 28, 2005) - SearchGold Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RSG)("SearchGold") announce today some additional drill results from central portion of Zone A on its 90% owned Bakoudou Gold Project located in Gabon, Africa.

The latest results obtained from diamond drill hole # BA04-18 clearly demonstrate the potential of the heart of the Zone A with an intersection of 13,04 g/t Au over 11,50m from 58,50m to 70,00m.

Hole # BA04-18 is located at the center of Zone A's feasibility drill grid on section 0+50S. Diamond drill hole # BA04-20, also located on section 0+50S, is situated fifty meters to the south-west of hole # BA04-18. Hole # BA04-20 returned also a significant intersection of 10,21 g/t Au over 15,75m from 9,75m to 25,50m (March 23rd 2005 press release). The latest results form hole BA04-18 therefore point towards a significant accumulation of gold mineralization in the central part of Zone A.

SearchGold's management is also very encouraged by the continuity of the down hole mineralization observed over 55,10 meters from 14,90m to 70,00m.

The following table presents the mineralized intersections of this
55,10m section.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Hole # From To Length Grades
(m) (m) (m) (g/t Au)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
BA04-18 14,90 28,80 13,90 4,86
39,00 46,50 7,50 3,85
53,10 55,50 2,40 2,28
58,50 70,00 11,50 13,04
--------------------------------------------------------------------

The following table presents the anomalous intervals of this 55,10m
section.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Hole # From To Length Grades
(m) (m) (m) (g/t Au)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
BA04-18 28,80 39,00 10,20 0,10
46,50 53,10 6,60 0,36
55,50 58,50 3,00 0,19
--------------------------------------------------------------------

These intervals are below the applied bottom end cut-off grade (0,5 g/t Au) but are anomalous in gold. If they are included in the overall calculation, the following intersection is obtained :

- 4,64 g/t Au over 55,10m from 14,90m to 70,00m

Technical details

For the sake of clarity, all sample results from diamond drill hole # BA04-18 are presented under a table form on SearchGold's web site (www.searchgold.ca/pr/index.html).

No high end cut-off grade was applied in the calculation of the above intersections as an exact cut-off grade will be determined from final project statistical evaluations. However checks were performed on some high grade samples. The average value of all analytical results per sample (initial analysis and all checks when available) was used in the calculations.

A bottom end cut-off grade of 0,5 g/t Au was applied in the calculations with a tolerance of up to 2,75m for internal dilution within the mineralized intervals.

The drilling is performed at high angle to the mineralized structures. The above intersections do not however represent perfect true widths. Such true widths will be computed and integrated in the final stages of the project modeling.

SearchGold is presently conducting a Bankable Feasibility Study with the intention to develop the Project's Zone A into a profitable open pit gold mining operation. This study is carried out under the direct supervision of Met-Chem Canada Inc, a world renowned Mining and Engineering firm.

All drill core is photographed and has been logged and sampled under the supervision of Mr. Pierre Allard of Met-Chem Canada Inc, an independent geological expert and Qualified Person. Individual samples weighting 3kg on average are taken from sawn half core at +/- 1 meter intervals in the mineralized zones. A rigorous QA/QC program involves the random inclusion of 10% standards, duplicates and blanks at the sample collection and preparation stage. The samples are flown to SGS LAKEFIELD RESEARCH AFRICA (PTY) LIMITED laboratory of Johannesburg, S.A., for analysis by fire assay on 30g pulp samples. The sample preparation procedure involves the crushing of the entire 3kg sample followed by quartering to obtain a representative 250g sample which is entirely pulverized and out of which a 30g sample is isolated for analysis by fire assay. The drilling program is performed under the supervision of Mr. Pierre Allard of Met-Chem Canada Inc, an independent geological expert and Qualified Person.
