Searchme Delivers Free Streaming Music Through Innovative Online Music Search

Search-and-Stack Feature Lets People Browse Millions of Songs via imeem's Embeddable Music Widgets

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - October 21, 2008) - Web search innovator Searchme, Inc. announced today a music search-and-share feature that delivers free streaming music to Searchme users via embedded music widgets from leading social music service imeem. By utilizing imeem's powerful APIs and embeddable music widgets, Searchme gives people the ability to search for and listen to their favorite music without leaving the site.

The new feature is the latest addition to Searchme's innovative visual search engine, which offers a streamlined, easy-to-use interface and delivers results in "stacks," which are images of Web pages that can be saved, shared and easily added to social networking Web pages such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter or blogs. Searchme users can now add music to stacks for the first time ever.

Here's how the new Searchme feature works: after clicking on the "music" link on the Searchme landing page, Searchme users type in the name of a song, artist or album, and get results in the same easy-to-browse stacks they see when they search for images, videos and regular web pages. Each page in the stack returns an embedded imeem music widget that automatically streams a song when the user clicks on it. For example, a search for "Usher" returns a stack of the R&B artist's songs accompanied by album art. People can stream the music for free and create custom stacks mixing music, video, images and Web results. Each multimedia stack can also be shared across the Internet using Searchme's widgets.

"Although music is heard with the ears, it is also seen with the eyes -- through videos, creative album art and thousands of artist, fan and independent music sites," said Randy Adams, CEO of Searchme. "Searchme recognizes the importance of the connection between what we see and what we hear to provide the best visual search engine in the world."
