Searchme Expands Search Expertise With the Addition of Dr. Eric Glover as Senior Staff Scientist

Company Moves Full Steam Ahead in Developing Innovative Search Tools

PALO ALTO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 2, 2007 -- Searchme, Inc. (, an emerging search company backed by Sequoia Capital, today announced that Dr. Eric Glover has joined the Searchme development team as Senior Staff Scientist. In his role, Dr. Glover will lead the development team in creating an advanced web classification engine. The new engine will improve upon current Web classification approaches through the efficient use of Searchme's extensive web graph.

Prior to joining Searchme, Dr. Glover was a senior research engineer at While at, Dr. Glover defined and created multiple core search and classification-related technologies used by millions of people every day. He worked on high profile products including Wikipedia Smart Answers and related names for Zoom Search.

Dr. Glover also acquired search knowledge while serving as Research Staff Member at NEC Laboratories America. There, he gained hands-on knowledge in efficient SVM-based classification, real-time feature ranking and feature selection.

While an intern at NEC, Dr. Glover received his Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. In addition, he also received a BSE in Electrical Engineering and a MSE in Electrical Engineering, both from University of Michigan.

Dr. Glover has published several highly cited conference and journal papers, as well as filed numerous patent applications related to data mining and topic extraction, search engine architectures and search technologies.
