Seaside Group Uses Size, Weight, Power and Compression as a Business Strategy

Verified Vendor Seaside Group, an EDWOSB Company Officially Registered in System for Award Management (SAM), Is Currently Able to Accept Government Contracts Under the Simplified Acquisition Program

GREAT FALLS, VA--(Marketwired - February 02, 2016) - As data requirements continue to increase, government customers and the IT industry have a growing appetite for smaller, light weight, high performing, plug-and-play equipment with lower power requirements and smaller price points.

In response to this growing need Seaside Group, an EDWOSB, resells Vocality's entire hardware and software data compression product line, and the ADDC BioDigitalPC card-sized-computer family of products. Seaside Group is the only EDWOSB reselling both of these product lines.

Also, Seaside Group is teamed with large and small prime contractors who hold multiple contract vehicles to include not only SEWP-V and CIO-CS (mandated for acquisition of hardware), but other contract vehicles that allow a combination of products and services.

Products include:

SOFTWARE

Media Acceleration and Optimization

To meet the increasing need for network acceleration and data compression, Seaside Group offers the Vocality OPUS Enhance software solution, which unifies voice optimization and TCP acceleration technologies into a single solution. OPUS Enhance addresses the increasing demand for high-performance telecom and networking in high-latency, low-bandwidth environments.

Our experience in satellite and tactical communications brings a unique perspective to the demands of the field deployed communicator," according to Vocality. "This Linux-based program runs on multiple hardware platforms, including X86 systems."

Enhance includes the latest generation of PACE, called PACE+, which optimizes voice and video traffic and reduces the bandwidth voice requires by up to 65%. OPUS can be integrated into third-party devices including field-deployed devices, IP cameras, satellite modems, and terminals. Also, PACE enhances RTP voice and video over IP aggregate tunnels between Vocality devices; can achieve a level of optimization that provides more than 40% bandwidth saving for 4 current G729 VoIP calls; and includes header compression, codec filtering, jitter buffering, G.729.B small sample filtering, and packet aggregation.

HARDWARE

Secure, Size, Weight and Power (SWaP)

The ADDC BioDigitalPC is the world's first x86 credit card-sized pluggable computer. Serving as the foundation of a family of products, the card weighs less than an ounce, is powered by 5VDC, consumes between 5W and 10W, uses 90% less power than other comparable systems, and requires no chilled cooling. The card is equipped with Trusted Platform Module (TPM), the latest Intel CPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 and 128GB of ultra-fast SanDisk SSD, and is able to run any x86 operating system, including Windows, Windows Server, Linux, CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu and many others.

The card is a waterproof, dustproof, and fire-resistant quad core that has a rugged epoxy coating. Ringed with anodized aluminum, BioDigitalPC cards are able to resist the worst operating conditions. The BioDigitalPC9 is available in commercial and industrial operating temperatures between -40C to 110C and is also third-party verified able to withstand about 3,000G. It is being used in the wearable computer system for the battlefield and is being incorporated into a tactical radio to allow video.

Data Center in a Box

Technology truly gets exciting when multiple cards are combined into a Mobyl Data Center, which comes equipped with 22 BioDigitalPC/MobylPC™ Server docking stations to form a cohesive, scalable server cluster. When completely scaled out, the MDC-22 allows for 22 BioDigitalPC/MobylPC™ Server Cards containing 22 to 88 CPU cores, 44 to 176GB DDR3 RAM, up to 2.8TB of onboard ultra-fast SSD storage, and up to 12TB of optional storage. This device is in Phase II of becoming a program of record by the US Army.

Integration

ADDC also developed a micro-form factor docking station for use within integrated products such as monitors, tablets, TVs, and micro-client setups. Utilizing a small energy footprint, the M1 is the easiest way to integrate into larger platforms while maintaining standard connections without the need for cooling. Additionally, hundreds of cards can be incorporated into a standard rack formation.

US Federal Contractor Registration -- the world's largest third-party government registration firm -- helped Seaside become a registered government contractor, and is available to help businesses who aren't yet registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) that want to work as government contractors complete the necessary registration.
