Seasonal Gingerbread Families Return!

Cookie Families Help Real Families in Calgary

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 17, 2010) - Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery has cooked up a delicious gingerbread holiday treat in support of Habitat for Humanity.

From November 15th until December 31st, all 27 Good Earth Cafes throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan will sell seasonal packages of fabulous fresh-baked gingerbread families. $1 from the sale of each gingerbread family will go to the local Habitat for Humanity. Each package includes two "adult" cookies and one "child" cookie, and sells for $6.95.

"Our delicious gingerbread cookies are a comfort food that makes people think of home," says Nan Eskenazi, co-founder of Good Earth. "Whether for yourself or as a gift, buying these cookies is a tasty way to support Habitat for Humanity in building affordable homes for Calgarians."

Seasonal beverages like Gingerbread Latte, Eggnog Latte and Candy Cane Hot Chocolate are also available for a limited time.

This gingerbread promotion debuted in 2009 and raised over $2500 for Habitat for Humanity Calgary.

In all communities in which it operates, Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery focuses its support on local efforts related to the environment and families.
