Second Annual Social TV Awards 2013 Winners Announced at Prestigious Gala for Social TV Brilliance

Highly-Anticipated Awards Gala Distinguishes Industry-Leading Platforms, Programs and Solutions, Including NBC Olympics, Conan O'Brien, Shazam, Team Coco, The Voice, and More; NCAA March Madness Voted Best of Show


LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2013) - At Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles, the second annual Social TV Awards recognized the major players within the social TV sphere with 23 highly coveted award categories plus Best of Show. Access Hollywood's Billy Bush was presented with the honorable title of emcee of the evening's festivities. The Social TV Awards, or STEVEEs, commended highly acclaimed people and programs in the social TV and entertainment industries.

In this consecutive year of the Social TV Awards, the category of Best iPad or Tablet Social TV Application featured an interactive voting experience, as members of the Social TV Awards audience were asked to cast their vote, in real time, using iPowow technology (http://ipowow.com/). Audience members interacted with exclusive iPowow technology by voting with their iPhones or iPads and observed the race live, for title of winner. Univision's UVideos captured the STEVEE for the category.

Entries were eligible for all Social TV platforms, programs, solutions and promotions that commenced anytime in 2013 through June 28, 2013. The awards were open to all TV networks, producers, technology companies, promotion agencies, social networks, research companies, brands and any other participants in the social TV space. Entries were judged in two rounds by top entertainment leaders and TV executives including The Insider's Kevin Frazier, Executive Vice president global business development of MTV networks Peter Griffin, CEO World of Schwartz Lori Schwartz, A&E Television Networks' Dietrich von Behren and more.
