Second Oldest Captain D's Restaurant Franchisee Opens Eighth Unit in North Carolina; Sets Opening Day Sales Record

LUMBERTON, NC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 13, 2006 -- Dor Foods, Inc., headquartered in Charlotte, NC, opened its eighth Captain D's Restaurant on June 6, 2006. The new quick service casual seafood unit is located at 2191 Roberts Ave., Lumberton, NC, located off I-95 near the NC-South Carolina Border.

Charles Graham, Dor Foods president and chief executive officer, and Mike Pearce, Captain D's vice president of development, announced the opening of the new restaurant. Dor Foods has been a Captain D's Franchisee since 1973.

Grand opening day sales smashed the first day record for Dor Foods. Ceremonies included a ribbon cutting with a variety of local government officials and representatives of nearby Native American tribes in the community.

According to Graham, the new operation will be open seven days a week, and will offer sit-down service for 70 persons, plus carryout and drive-through and also features outside seating.

James Locklear is the manager of the operation, which will employ some 30-40 persons.

Dor Foods operates other Captain D's in North Carolina communities of Charlotte, Monroe, Wadesboro, Rockingham and Laurinberg.

According to Pearce, the North Carolina opening will help Captain D's remain on course for another record setting year for the 35-year-old seafood restaurant organization. In 2005, the company opened 20 restaurants and another 40 openings are planned for 2006.

Captain D's offers a menu of seafood featuring its signature dish of hand cut and hand battered fish, along with baked or broiled fish, shrimp, chicken and home-style side dishes, and desserts.

There are nearly 600 Captain D's Restaurants in 25 states and military bases in the United States and overseas. Captain D's first international franchise in Trinidad opened earlier this year. Additional information is available at www.captainds.com.
