LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 9, 2008) - United States Secretary of Agriculture, Ed Schafer, has confirmed his participation as the keynote speaker at Infocast's 3rd Annual Cellulosic Ethanol Summit. Secretary Schafer will headline a roster of some 70+ speakers at the Summit which brings together leading figures from the arenas of cellulosic ethanol, renewable energy as well as finance and investment. Secretary Schafer will deliver his address on the morning of Wednesday, November 19th at the Westin Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.

Secretary Schafer, a former two-term governor of North Dakota renowned for his record of public innovation and his extensive private sector experience as an entrepreneur and business executive, will discuss the current state of the cellulosic ethanol industry from a federal perspective -- and how that status may evolve with the arrival of the new administration.

In addition to Secretary Schafer, the Summit will feature keynote presentations focused on the states' perspective; specifically the event's host state of Florida, as represented by Charles H. Bronson, the Commissioner for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Jeremy L. Susac, the Executive Director of the Florida Energy & Climate Commission.
