Secretary of State Kenney to Attend "An Evening with Chinese Treasures" Fundraising Gala

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 7, 2008) - The Honourable Jason Kenney, Secretary of State (Multiculturalism and Canadian Identity), will attend the Canadian Foundation for Chinese Heritage Preservation's 7th annual fundraising gala, "An Evening with Chinese Treasures," tomorrow in Toronto.

This gala aims to raise funds to support the activities of the Canadian Foundation for Chinese Heritage Preservation, a national charitable organization registered in Canada since July 1993. The Foundation's objective is to educate and promote Canadian interest in the preservation and appreciation of Chinese cultural and historical treasures.

The Government of Canada is committed to reaching out to all Canadians and is developing lasting relationships with ethnic and religious communities in Canada.
