SecureAlert Adds Ray Greer as Vice President of Operations

SANDY, UT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 10, 2006 -- SecureAlert , a subsidiary of RemoteMDx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMDX) and a leader in pioneering technologies and services to aid law enforcement in monitoring offenders who are a risk to society, today announced that it has added Ray Greer as vice president of operations. The appointment of top-talent Greer comes as SecureAlert's back log of orders for its single-unit tracking device and 24/7 monitoring service continues to increase at a rapid pace.

Greer brings more than 25 years' experience among some of the nation's leading technology and electronics companies to his post at SecureAlert. Most recently, Greer was senior vice president at L-3 Communications, a provider of communication systems for intelligence collection, imagery processing, and satellite communications. There he helped restructure company systems, launch new markets, and increase revenue by $11 million in just 18 months. Greer also was senior vice president of operations for General Electric, where he developed such company programs as GE's Product Approval Committee and oversaw the launch of five software releases, three product releases and three hardware quality design improvements. Prior to his time at GE, Greer held key leadership positions at Apple Computer Inc., Westinghouse Electric Co., Celestica, and Assistive Technology Inc.

"Ray Greer joins SecureAlert at a time when we are poised to dominate the offender tracking market," said Randy E. Olshen, president of SecureAlert. "We are thrilled to welcome him to the SecureAlert management team. Ray is the kind of executive who possesses a rare, proven combination of vision, action and accountability that will help lead SecureAlert's technologies and services into the coming era of expansion and development."

Since its introduction in July of this year, the demand for SecureAlert's single unit tracking device and 24/7 monitoring service has exceeded the Company's expectations and forecasts. To date it has a back log of orders derived from in excess of 125 municipalities, counties and state agencies. It is for this reason SecureAlert has hired a seasoned veteran in Greer to aid the Company in meeting this unprecedented demand. Greer's expertise originates with his extensive involvement at Apple Computers with the launch of another hugely successful product, the Mac. Greer will be charged with the responsibility of increasing the Company's production capabilities by fourfold over the next 2 months in order for SecureAlert to even begin catching up on its ever growing back log of orders.

SecureAlert offers a unique combination of 24/7 monitoring center, coupled with patented technology that combines GPS global positioning which locates offenders wherever they may be, two-way voice communications and application-specific software, all packaged in one compact tamper-resistant device worn by the offender. The parole agencies are offered a turnkey service including equipment, real-time monitoring and training. The responsible enforcement agency directs SecureAlert's monitoring center to establish parameters of movement by parolees or known predators and any breach in the pre-established rules by each offender triggers an alarm. At any time, day or night, the professionally trained agents are able to communicate in real time with the offender through the device's built-in interactions capability. Additionally, agents are able to summon police if necessary.
