SecureCARE Technologies Signs Agreement With Aurora VNA to Expand Services Throughout Wisconsin

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 12, 2005 -- SecureCARE Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: SCUI), a leading provider of HIPAA-ready, Internet-based document exchange and e-signature solutions for the healthcare industry, announced that it has signed an agreement with Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin, which is part of Aurora Health Care, one of the largest integrated healthcare delivery networks in Wisconsin and the U.S. This Agreement will result in additional recurring monthly revenue for SecureCARE while strengthening their position in the marketplace.

Dennis J. Nasto, senior vice president of sales & marketing for SecureCARE Technologies, said: "The Aurora VNA agreement demonstrates that our IT solutions platform integrates seamlessly with the online systems of our major strategic partners: including software vendor Cerner BeyondNow; Aurora VNA, which is a member of the Visiting Nurse Associations of America; and Aurora Medical Group, which is a member of the American Medical Group Association. This development is in direct accordance with the legislative mandate to bring IT solutions to the healthcare industry, and puts SecureCARE Technologies in front of the pack."

When its solution,, is fully implemented in all five regions of Aurora VNA's entire market area, the VNA stands to save as much as $820,000 annually. Aurora VNA expects to break even with as little as 5% of referring physicians using Aurora VNA decided to expand the rollout after a successful pilot program among the referring physicians at Aurora Medical Group in Lake Geneva.

Pat Lynch, information systems manager for Aurora VNA, described several reasons for the expansion: "The interoperability of with the management system that Aurora uses for electronic billing and scheduling -- Cerner BeyondNOW's HomeWorks® -- will provide Aurora with an almost entirely paperless environment for home health, hospice and DME document exchange. This integration is a major time saver for our internal staff. We also saw a strong demand among physicians at Aurora Medical Group, our major referral source. Finally, a cost analysis showed we could cut our costs dramatically -- by as much as $820,000 annually -- upon full physician adoption. With, the cost, including labor, is reduced by 83% per document processed." addresses a massive paper problem in the healthcare industry -- a $2.5 billion addressable market for SecureCARE's solution. The electronic document exchange and e-signature solution functions similarly to email and lowers the cost of doing business by taking many steps out of the document handling process -- leading to a much faster document turnaround time, which translates into improved cash flow. It also automatically tracks billable activities for services that have already been delivered, but which are difficult for physicians to track and bill using a manual, paper process.
